About the event
Come to class and learn to make an agate canvas with us!
Here at Sip and Dip, we offer FUN art, not FINE art. So enjoy guided learning to make your own art in class!
Included in your class fee:
- A meal from The Royal's Sip 'n' Dip Menu (please contact the venue regarding dietary questions/requirements)
- A glass of wine
- Your wonderful Sip 'n' Dip Host
- All materials needed for class
- All Equipment needed for class
Please arrive a few minutes early so you can meet your fellow makers, grab a seat and unwind and soak up the chilled vibe before the class starts.
The technique that will be taught during this is an agate pour!
TRANSPORTING YOUR WORK
When it comes to transporting your work home, around 40 minutes after you mix your resin, it will start to harden. But the chances are it will still be reasonably fluid on departure. We encourage our guests to use rideshare, taxi's or be dropped to and picked up from the event to ensure that they can hold their work level during travel to ensure their design doesn't move.
Your board/s will be food-grade cured within 7 days (depending on humidity and heat), but we recommend storing it in a dust-free / pet free / pest free and child free location for 14 days before use.
Plenty of free parking, a reminder this is designed as a night out to allow people to unwind; you are welcome to bring your kids (if they are registered ticket holders). Still, we encourage you to leave toddlers and babies with babysitters and enjoy an awesome night off the tools and allow others to do the same.
INFORMATION ABOUT RESIN / FIRST AID / CARE / WAYS TO AVOID COMMON ISSUES Please read our resin page before attending. This outlines care instructions, common mistakes, issues, and common FAQ's about resin and is very helpful to read BEFORE your class.
WHAT TO WEAR TO CLASS
Resin is essentially a glue when cured and will ruin clothing that it is allowed to spill onto. Please dress in clothes appropriate for an art class. Therefore we recommend older clothing or those you don't mind getting a little bit of resin on.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
To help customers prepare for their classes, we include a comprehensive frequently asked questions section of our website. You can locate that here. Please allow the page up to 5 seconds to load as it can initially appear as blank for those with slower internet connections.
RESIN CLASS INFORMATION
To help customers prepare for resin classes, we have a comprehensive section on resin here. We recommend you read it before you purchase a ticket. This will elaborate on all the details surrounding the use of resin in our classes, including first aid and safety. We highly recommend you take the time to read it thoroughly to help you prepare for your class and decide how you would like your project to look. Along with your teacher's instruction, It also gives you a series of tips and tricks that will assist you in making sure your resin art has the perfect cure.
If you purchased more than one seat, you will automatically be grouped with those seats (even if you made them in separate transactions) if you list them on your booking. If you would like to be grouped with other attendees in particular (your friend paid for their own ticket), just let us know their name, and we will be sure to seat you together! But in the event you forget, don't stress, on arrival, we ask if you are seated with friends and pop you in together, so you enjoy your class as a group.
CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES
If we have to cancel the event, we will always offer you a full refund. Cancellations are few and far between; however, it is important to know that some venues require a minimum of 10 people, so if we don't make that number by the day of the event, we will let you know before 12 pm that day (VIA EMAIL) that it has been cancelled, postponed or provide you details if we managed to find an alternate venue. Please ensure you keep an eye on your email for any changes.
COVID & STOCK
COVID has had a dramatic effect on stock supplies; we order stock well in advance of planned classes but are aware that sometimes there are unplanned shortages. Instead of swapping stock to something similar, we will reschedule the class so that you get exactly what you paid for. In the unlikely event that it happens, we will let you know via email.
If you book a ticket (paid or unpaid) and don't show up, we do not offer a refund, and you are required to pay for your class. The reason we do not offer discounts is that we have to purchase supplies in advance of the class to account for your attendance. If you let us know in advance of the class we will happily transfer your ticket to another event or offer you a credit to use at any of our classes. But we do not offer refunds.
